Chopper's

The 70's were the best days for choppers. Every hard core biker either had one or was building one. No one I knew wanted a stock bike, Especially a bagger with all the junk on it. My self at over 50 years old still like choppers and bobber and will never be caught on a garbage wagon. You can make a chopper or bobber yours unlike stock Harleys you can't make it yours. You can paint it and chrome it and it is still  going to look like the other stock one just differ paint, pipes and chrome. I know in some states you can't modify new bikes. That's were the freedom thing has gone away and the sheep are letting Sam take it all away. I for one will be free weather you or Sam like it or not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rant !!!!!!

What ever happen to the day when a person told you something and they done it? I've been trying to sell some parts on craigslist for a while and I will get calls about them, Some Joe wanting to come and check them out .Tells me they will be here at a certain time and then I wait but they never show, No call telling me they can't make it or nothing. With almost every one these days having a cell phone it just doesn't make any since to me. I'm wasting my time waiting on them, No body gives  respect any more. I know I'm ranting but things sure have changed since I was a kid and not for the good.

Tail light for Dyna rust

Very cold to day around 36 degrees , The day before Christmas, didn't do much around the house (lazy I guess).  Not that I didn't have things to do. Ole lady wanted me to go to a party but I decided to stay around here and play my guitar. That was fun but no were near as fun as riding. The weather man is saying it is going to be nice and in the 50s by the week end so may be just may be I'll get to take the Dyna rust out for a little ride. Going to be changing oil on her soon and going to need a new battery by riding season. With the 21 front rim done the only thing left to do is the home made tail light. I have made a smaller truck type light but still have to make a bracket to mount it above the tag. I have a few ideas going around in my head but nothing I like so far.

 Pictures didn't turn out to good but you should get the idea of what I have in mind. More when I get the mount figured out,

Testing

The weather had been real nice this week end got a little riding in. Was testing out a new 21 front rim set up out on my Dyna rust seem to be just what I needed to set the ride height . Kick stand was hitting when taking a steep lean on the left side. Two good test rides and no trouble so far.

Wide tire chopper

I met this guy in the 80's he gave me this post card of his bike. He may have just started the wide tire craze,,,,;) He use to ride it by the house all the time.
